1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 review from North America
"Won't buy another Chevy truck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Same story here in the ABS part. I had the notorious noise at 39,000 miles, took my Silverado 1500 truck to the dealer, they pulled the fuse so the ABS unit didn't make the noise. The ABS part apparently has changed prices over the past year up then down now up again - now it's $851 - and an hour to install at $90 = $941. As I live in a small town I was stunned that the local "very small" Chevy dealer carried this part in stock - now I understand why - they sell lots of them. Yes, Chevy should own up to this one, it is clearly their issue.
