1987 Chevrolet Sprint Turbo review from North America
"Very cool"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car came from somebody that got a lot of parking tickets in Ventura California. I bought the car from a impound auction.
This thing was worn out. I don't think the previous owner ever changed anything. It took me 5 years to find all the parts to rebuild this car. I had to make urethane bushings for all the suspension. I had to make 3 of the 6 motor mounts.
While I had the engine out of the car for rebuilding, I rebuilt the trans and installed a new factory A/C unit. I also resealed the sunroof and put 1997 Toyota Celica front seats in the car, cause the front seats were shot.
Now that the car is running, I love this car; it is so quick and it gets 63 mpg, and the A/C blows 18 degrees. What a cool car.
General comments?
Cheap to maintain.
