1987 Chevrolet Sprint Turbo review from North America
"Excellent fuel mileage and awesome power... most reliable car I have ever had period!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced the timing belt every 60,000 miles.
Routine tune-ups.
Changed the oil every 3,000 miles.
New clutch at 180,000.
New water pump and radiator at 195,000.
Driver's seat is worn.
Passenger and back seats are in great shape.
Interior plastics are faded and cracked due to sun damage.
General comments?
I have had American (Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge etc.), Japanese (Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi etc.) and this is hands down the most reliable car that I have ever had Period!
I had a blow off valve on the turbo (to pull extra boost from the Turbo), ran this car at the local drag strip every week for a period of 5 years straight, and literally come out of the bleach box with smoke coming by the side windows from the front tires spinning, and it is indestructible. At 220,000 miles the car still has the original alternator and gets in excess of 38 mpg on the highway! AWESOME!
