2001 Chevrolet Suburban LS Autoride review from North America

This truck has been in the shop over a dozen times in it's first year when I purchased it new. Numerous electrical problems such as the main computer replacement, autoride malfunction, and various computer related problems.

A steering poping noise resulted in the replacement (manf. recall) of the steering knuckle.

At just 8k miles the front end had badly worn the front tires on the inside tread. I can only assume the alianment was correct from the factory.

At 21K miles the brakes began to fade and when braking hard the pedal would pulse. The dealer said the rotors we're warped and resurfaced them at no charge.

The left rear door now 'sticks' to the point my kids cannot open nor close the door without assistance... back to service dept soon to get this fixed.

We purchased this vehicle for its size and room. With three kids it's the perfect size for carrying everyone along with plenty of luggage room.

The interior has held up well after the first year. No complaints.

This vehicle has had too many service issues for a brand new vehicle. It is driven primarily by my wife around town. So it is not getting abused.

I would think twice about getting another Surburban because of all the serivce issues I've had with this truck.
