1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT review from North America
"The best vehicle I have ever owned!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The first thing that went wrong with my Tahoe was the transmission. This was at about 109,000 miles. $1,700 in cost from the dealership. noting the mentioned amount of miles, this was no biggie to me.
Next was the alternator. Which at the time I was working at Auto-zone, so to say the least was not that pricey.
Then there was the rear end problem. Something got loose in my rear end and turned my gears into jigsaw puzzle pieces. That was fun. $1,450 in cost.
General comments?
The 1999 Chevy Tahoe has been the best vehicle that I have ever owned! I have had good cars and bad cars.
When it came down to the repairs the Tahoe was costly but you get what you pay for.
The Tahoe is very roomy on the inside. And from I hear the newer models are just the same. If I had the money I would buy a newer one but this one IS paid off so I content.
Not so great on gas mileage but not horror-able.
