2001 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 review from North America
"A 4X4 that performs nicely whether on or off road"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Around 1500 miles, the second or third week of ownership, I cranked my car one day and realized there was a ticking noise coming from my motor. Pre-idle piston slap according to Chevrolet.
General comments?
This is a great sport utility vehicle for everyday driving or for long trips or off road excursions.
It has a very comfortable interior with lots of driver conveniences such as heated side view mirrors, electro chromic rear-view and driver side-view mirror and easy to reach comfort controls, pedals and steering for the tall or short driver.
If it wasn't for the pre-idle piston slap I would be most happy with my Z71 Tahoe.
