1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT review from North America
"A great vehicle, with few problems in the long run"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Service Engine soon light came on two days after owning vehicle. 41,150 miles.
ECM was replaced, along with part of the wiring harness. 44,500 miles.
A/C condenser, and evaporator replaced, along with rear A/C lines at 45,000 miles. This was QUITE expensive.
Locks malfunctioning, passenger door and rear cargo door not unlocking (only in the summer).
Fuel pump replaced today at 53, 987 miles. Great way to spend the last few days before Christmas.
General comments?
I drive this vehicle at least 50 miles a day to work and back, I don't see the problems daily, or really that close together.
For what the truck is, I really enjoy it for it's purpose, trailering motorcycles, winter fun, and bringing my family safely to their destination.
The body does have some flex, and when you take a sharp turn you feel the draft.
