86,00 miles lost fuel pump.
86,000 miles lost water pump, 86,000 miles lost transmission
86,000 miles loosing cat.converter.
Thank God I took out 100,000 bumper to bumper warranty on this SUV! It covered everything except the cat. converter. ($900)
Shame you can't count on a Chevy to last 100,000 miles any more!
All of my Tahoe failures occured in less the 24hours!
Otherwise, I love the Tahoe Z-71 and it's power and room.
What happened at 86,000 miles that three items went out approximately same time? Seens highly unusual, unless vehicle being driven extremely fast, lost water and continued to drive, etc.
I own a 2000 Tahoe LT and it has over 100k miles. The only problem I've had, to date, is I needed a new fuel sending unit, which the dealer told me was a common thing with this year Tahoe. Otherwise, I get great mileage; 17mpg for what it is, that's awesome, and it runs drives and looks like new. Sorry you had so much trouble, but one has to think that you were using the vehicle in a way it was not meant to be. It's not a race car, after all.
I don't understand your hatred. I have a 1999 Tahoe LS with 177,982 miles. been wrecked twice.. and the only thing that died was some computer sensor. and its very fast for an SUV.. stock I can wipe expeditions and explorers off of the road.
The difference with your Tahoes is that they are not 4x4, the 2wd Tahoes are great. But the 4x4 z71 Tahoes have way too many problems.
