1997 Chevrolet Tahoe Sport review from North America
"Comfortable, Good Looking, Unreliable Truck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Torque Converter, Rear End, ECM (Engine Control Module), AC Compressor, All the ball-joints replaced, Power Steering Pump, AC/Heater Blower Motor, Power Steering Sensor, Starter, Alternator, Fuel Pump, Fuel Pump Relay, AC Relay, Head Gasket, Brakes (several times) and the transmission is about to go out.
General comments?
Good things about the truck: decent gas mileage along with decent performance, and a better than average tow vehicle. Also, the interior is very well laid out and comfortable. Performs very well in the off-road and is a very good looking vehicle. Other than that, this truck has been a major disappointment. It was one thing after another, non-stop for the three years I've owned it. I had to go out and buy an old pickup for transportation because I just couldn't rely on the Tahoe. I could go on and on about everything that's gone wrong with it, but it just depresses me because at one point, I really liked the truck a lot.
