2000 Chevrolet Tracker LT from North America - Comments

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Very little...

Squeaky belt after it rains. Dealers perplexed. Replaced pulley, S-belt and even catalytic iconv (?!).

Noise from right front wheel. Possibly a bearing. Tires cupping some.

General comments?

Superbly reliable and nifty in the city of SF even with two small children.

Cargo space is excellent. Rear passenger room isn't.

Slow mid-range accleration... but manageable on freeways if you plan ahead and can tolerate a buzzy engine. Really in its element in and around town or off road and for needed cargo space.

UPDATE: 38,000 miles. S-belt just replaced again for squeak issue. Other than that, no problems at all. 4th car. Wife prefers over Pathfinder and T&C.

UPDATE: 57,00 miles. Still no problems. Went to full synthetic @ 40,000. Belt squeak went away. 40K service as well. Bullet proof thus far... but well-maintained. Virtually, no resale value... so we keep her in the family.
