2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LX review from North America
"Car is great, warranty is useless"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The third brake light panel, above the rear hatch, flew off while driving down the highway, and barely missed hitting another car. I was told this is an engineering flaw of the vehicle, but it was not covered under my "bumper to bumper" extended warranty. GM would take no responsibility. ($1500 to fix)
The 4x4 lights change randomly and light up like a Christmas tree. It randomly switches to 4 hi and 4 low while driving, or turning. The replacement of the sensor is not covered under warranty. ($500 to fix)
The exterior thermometer is stuck at 10C (50F). The repair is not covered by the warranty.
General comments?
I love this vehicle, in general.
GM does not stand behind their warranties. We have similar issues with the warranty on our Bravada.
I will not buy a GM product again.
