2001 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LTZ review from North America
"Extremely unreliable, pass on this one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear brake rotors and calipers had to be replaced before 2000 miles.
During first 90 days, problems with intermittent airbag light.
Intermittent airbag light problem is still going on. First it was a dirty connector which was cleaned. Then the passenger airbag was replaced. Now they are replacing the driver airbag.
Problem with the four wheel drive selector. Light on dash switches between four wheel drive and two wheel drive. Dealer replaced module.
Four wheel indicator problem continues, and a different module was replaced. Service four wheel drive light has appeared numerous times. Dealer indicates the problem may now be a switch since they have replaced the four wheel drive module.
Upon starting the car, the engine runs, but no dash lights or gauges. Dealer replaced computer module, problem has not occurred since.
General comments?
The dealer service department is professional and courteous to work with. I have no complaints with the efforts of the dealership or the service staff.
The car simply has too many electrical problems that do not appear to be easily identified or resolved.
