1989 Chevrolet Truck review from North America
"Lots of power, but cheaply made"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
It needed a new starter, which caused it to start slow.
The valve cover leaks oil.
The interior falls apart (cheap plastic)
Reverse grinds.
General comments?
Very strong 2.5 liter engine. I can get rubber in first, second, and third, which is way more than expected with a four cylinder.
Goes through gas like a hog, probably the way I drive it.
Extremely uncomfortable in summer because the engine blows hot air inside even when you have the heat off.
First gear is geared too low.
Terrible in the winter.
Bad on the highway.
The handling is not very good, and not having power steering sucks.
Everything about the truck is cheaply made except what's under the hood.
This truck will blow the doors off any other truck.
