No unusual problems. The drive shaft slip joint is starting to show some wear, causing a slight vibration at highway speeds.
The windshield leaks a little in the rain.
The truck gets 12 miles per gallon.
This truck just won't die. It hauls any amount of weight that you can fit in the bed, always starts no matter how cold, and has never left me stranded anywhere.
It is like riding a brick however, and aspirin should never be more than an arm length away.
My dad had a 1972 custom 10 with a straight 6 and a three speed on the tree. The truck was very tough. We were the third owner with the original bill of sale. The engine was very unreliable it was just not strong enough to even hunt in with out even towing any thing. And it was a good thing we could find those transmissions so cheap. still the truck was very tough. the bed had one rust hole in the size of a silver dollar it and when Isabel came through a big pinetree fell on it. the trucks front end was off the ground we took the tree off and took a 2x4 to the bed a bit. And you could barely tell what happened. We ended up selling the truck with a blown engine in it for 300 dollars.
