1982 Chevrolet Van G20 review from North America
"My First Van, with all her problems she has been good to me"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Since I owned the Vehicle.
Speedometer Cable gets destroyed at the transmission connector.
Sliding Door hinge broke.
Block Heater died, and started leaking fluid everywhere.
Brakes went around 210000km (Brakes were completly factory Original!)
A locking Screw came loose and got caught in the Torque converter, causing the flex plate to come loose.
U Joints wore out at 230000km (Again Factory Original)
Aside from those problems that came with the vehicle.
Fuel and Oil Pressure Instruments were both broken.
Windshield Washer Pump burned out.
Passenger Door Handle was broken.
Passenger Sun Visor was Broken.
Battery Posts were completely rusted.
Automatic choke was broken.
Power Steering was Broken.
Interior trim had significant wear.
Fuel Pump was pretty much dead and leaking.
Significant Exterior Rust.
Cruise Control Transducer is dead.
Interior Lights Short circuiting.
General comments?
I paid $500 for this old Van off of a farmer in Southern Alberta. Most of the problems that it has had came with it,
abuse and poor maintenance, are the cause of most of this vehicles problems.
This vehicle had been sitting for about 2 years prior, and I drove it away.
