1998 Chevrolet Venture LS review from North America
"Wouldn't buy another, runs good hard to service"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Not to much has gone wrong mechanically, but lots of little things have broken. Arm-rests don't stay up some tears in the seats and worst of all the bars you use to remove have broken.
Had a "service engine light" on hooked up to the computer and found an EGR valve code a evaporation code (in the fuel line, tank, or cap) and an ACC cod which was not in any referance books.
General comments?
Maintenance is next to impossible, it is easy to change the oil, the air filter isn't too bad, but is difficult. The battery is under the fuse panel and an engine support bar. The engine is transversly mounted so the three spark plugs in the rear are next to impossible. Over all the car does run good and is fairly fast for a minivan. Very few mechanical problem mainly just little "knickle and dime" stuff. Van came wwith a great battery car is 7 years old and battery has never failed.
