2000 Chevrolet Venture extended review from North America
"Very poor quality"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission rebuilt
two cup holders replaced
three net holders replaced
Intake manifold seal replaced
Power window, driver side gets stuck
Ball joints
Fuel gauge broken
air bags not working (light comes on 100% of the time)
Micro-chip replaced
Had to have the hood re-painted after 24 months from rusting (warranty). The rest of the van is now rapidly rusting in various locations along the wheel wells, door jams, etc.
General comments?
Was the first GM product I've owned and will be the last. I got sucked into using the GM card and will use the points I have left to get a short term lease then I'm going to asian makers. North American car makers seem to be on another planet, GM being the fearless leader of producing low quality high maintenance vehicles.
