2000 Chevrolet Venture review from North America
"My Kids Think It's Fun; Not Sure If My Wallet Will"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have owned this vehicle for 2 weeks & right away noticed that the vehicle was pulling to the right. I phoned & had it booked for an alignment.
A few days after driving the vehicle I noticed the gas gauge was no longer working.
Looking on the Internet at reviews of this vehicle (which I wish I would have done prior to purchasing) I noticed that the gas gauge had been a problem for others.
I had an appointment at the dealership where purchased and I mentioned for them to also check the Manifold Intake Gasket. I actually have no idea what that even is. I mentioned it anyways since I had read on reviews that it had been a problem with the vehicle in the past for other.
Sure enough, the manifold intake gasket is being repaired & I have not had a vehicle for more than 24 hours.
I plan on taking this vehicle to a shop & having the whole thing looked at bumper to bumper since my warranty will only be good for 3 months & I won't be able to afford all the problems. Especially if it's as great of a vehicle (laugh) as I've read it is. It's actually a scary thought.
General comments?
Pros: Looks nice & handles well.
