not for now :)
This is a great car.
The base model has enough power to cruise around comfortably. If you want it to accelerate you have to push it hard, but the engine responds very well at high revs.
Interior room is big and fit and finish is very good, but make no mistake, this is not MB or Audi quality either. The base model does not have a lot of fancy things like auto climate, computer or service reminder... but it has everything you can ask for in a modern car like ESP, ABS or brake assist. This is so much better car than an Impala or similar. Believe me I've driven all of them as rentals.
If you like the style and can live with a very decent engine and basic std equipment, this is your car. You'll fall in love immediately.
I own a 2005 Impala (3.4 base) and I am currently renting a 2006 300 Touring (base). I would say that my Impala has more power, especially when passing. The 300 is comfortable to drive and it had built in Sirius radio, which is nice to have. The problem with the 300 base is that when you want to pass another vehicle, the car red lines real quick and the transmission does not shift back in to 4th gear unless you let your foot off of the gas. I feel much more confident in my Impala when I am passing other cars.
That is why I bought the 300C luxury and balls. plus al lthe extra options that go with it. fell in love with car first time I test drove it.
Ummmm, as far as I know there isn't a 300 Touring base model. The Touring has the 3.5 High Output V6, and has 250HP or more, and the base Impala 3.5 only has 211HP per the Chevrolet website.
I drove a 2008 Impala with the 3.9 V6 (233HP) and it was the worst car ever, it threw my passengers into the doors with just slow turns. I am here to tell you that Chevrolet has a lot left to learn about suspension, electronic throttle control etc, and the Chrysler 300 Touring is as flawless as it can get for that level of a car, and has as good fuel economy with more horse power and has way better suspension from the get go.
