Interior lights sometimes work/not work.
Alignment problem.
Cooling fans quit.
Window motors malfunctioned-dealer said they knew it was defective, but only did something if brought in with the problem.
Replaced brakes frequently.
Had accident and wheel snapped off and entered driver compartment. I consider this an engineering defect - a painful one.
Maybe you got a lemon, any how try going to a different dealer for service, it made all the difference to me. My 300 rocks!
I love my 1999 300m. I have had it 8 yrs now and I am having to do maintenace on the air conditioner and the lights in the interior of the car work/not work and need fixed. The car over all is irreplaceable. The comfort and ride is not found in any new cars. I have bought a new car and the closest I found to the comfort of the 300m was the Nissan Maxima and that is still not my 300m.
I just bought my 300. It has 92 thousand miles on it. It's my first "nice" car. I am in love with it. I'm hoping the car holds up, due the mileage... but cars these days last a long time. So far, so good :)
I have a 2000 and except for the gears inside the doors for the locks stripping out and creating this god awful noise when
they engage and the molding around the inside doors sucks. It is a comfortable ride though, but that's about it except for the look of it. In my opinion its just a matter of crappy engineering all around.JUNK
