1998 Chrysler 300M from Denmark - Comments

"A beautiful, powerful cruiser"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Air condition is leaking, it works for a month after refilling.

Front right wheel loses air (factory wheels)

A month after we got the car the cooling water leaked and we were close to overheating the engine. Not a good thing to do on an aluminum engine. The fault was a blown O-ring in a cooling tube running in the top V of the engine. Fixed on warranty.

The remote control for the doors seem to have it's own opinion if the doors should unlock or not. Maybe it just needs a new battery.

General comments?

I love the looks of this car, it is one of the greatest looking cars on the road.

We needed the room for 3 kids in the backseat and the dog can even sit between the seats.

Very good leather seats, great eye-popping feature that they auto-adjust when you push the remote!

The 3.5 engine has enough power to pull the car in any situation, which makes the ride very comfortable and fast if you want it. I get 9 km/l mixed traffic and up to 11.5 km/l on longer trips.

The car is very low, not easy to get under for servicing and not that suitable for pulling the trailer into the woods.

The car is very hard to park, you just can't see the edges of the car, especially the back. You will learn after some tests and trials, but most of the 300M's I have seen have scratches on all fender corners!

The paint work is easy to chip, my kids have already scratched the back doors.

The gearbox shifts quietly and the Auto stick makes it possible to change gears myself for powerful acceleration or heavy trailer pulling.

The 300M was not produced until 1999 but I guess this shows that most people who write about cars and reviews don't know much. It is a good idea to have common people write reviews for cars, but you can't take what is written too seriously because most people don't know what they are talking about. Case in point the 300M was not produced until 1999, if you don't know what year your car is you don't have much room to talk about it.

He probably meant 1999, and just because he made a mistake, you don't have to blow your top. I think besides the year typo, the review was very well written.

The car was introduced in 98 as a 99 model.

I was just curious as to why you would use a chrysler 300m to pull a trailer into the woods.
