1995 Chrysler Cirrus review from North America
"Overlook it and move on to another one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Hello everyone, I purchased the Cirrus in November of 2007, and when I first started using the vehicle it was great.
After 6 months, the car felt as though the transmission was slipping, so I had it checked. Transmission ended up being in solid form, but it continued and I kept getting it checked, to no avail, it never panned out for me.
Then on the 8th month my car started stalling out and had trouble starting right back up. I had a distributor problem, so I replaced that along side my crankshaft sensor, EGR valve, and my throttle control sensor. It worked for about 2 months, and then it started happening once again.
So my brother, who is a master mechanic, took a look and put his read out meter to it, and verified my PCM is fried. There's no communication from my transmission to my engine. I will not spend that ridiculous amount of money on a new computer.
General comments?
Although the car is comfortable and looks practical and nice when done up, the car has way too many issues with electrical problems, and if you feel that you can shell out money left and right to fix the car, then be my guest, but in the end you're spending enough to lease or finance a new car.
