"A reliable car for commuting back and forth to work"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Transmission started slipping at 140,000.

Front struts completely went out.

Drivers seat is broken, it will not slide back and forth.

The car overheats a lot.

Airbag lights come on repeatedly.

General comments?

This car has been reliable, and has never broken down on me.

However, as the car gets older, more and more money gets put into it.

The air bags lights in this car come on generally if your ignition key is pushed a little further in the forward direction and get stuck in that position while your motor is still running. This may happen if your key is an after market duplicate one, that hasn't been cut perfectly like the original one that came with the car. In this situation you might observe that your turn idicator lights, hazard lights and maybe headlights too, won't go on. It is risky to drive that way in the dark especially.
