1997 Chrysler Concorde LX review from North America
"A great car... with typical Chrysler mediocre reliability"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No huge repairs, but several that I would not expect to have made on a Honda or Toyota in the same time frame:
Replaced warped front brake discs twice - and I am very easy on brakes.
Replaced water pump twice - and that is a high $$ repair.
Replaced power steering pump.
Replaced front tie rods.
Replaced frame cross-member supporting transmission.
A/C recharged three times.
General comments?
I purchased the car new, and I like it very much. Great visibility, styling, comfort, ride, power, and handling.
As others have said, fuel mileage is excellent for a car of this size and power. At legal speeds, I easily see 30mpg on the highway. Not bad for a car of this size with a 215hp V6.
Reliability has only been "OK". When will Chrysler ever catch up to the pack on this?
