1998 Chrysler Concorde LXi review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Dual Cat. Converters went at 25,000 miles, but were covered under warranty. Besides that I did 155,000 miles with only basic maintenance (oil changes/brakes/tune up at 100,000 miles). No major or minor repairs, and was confident I was going to get another 100,000 trouble-free miles out of it.
General comments?
I rear-ended a car and totaled my Concorde (front-end collisions result in extreme repair costs). When looking for a new car, I only looked for another Concorde. I have heard terrible stories about the 2.7L, but never a bad one about the 3.2L. I bought another 1998 with 55,000 miles and am positive I'll get 150,000+ out of it easy. My new one doesn't have ABS brakes or traction control (a big mistake, I highly recommend those options to those considering which options to get). Performance was great, and ran smoothly at very high speeds.
