2000 Chrysler Concorde Lxi review from North America
"Stick with Nissan, Toyota or Honda"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The same month my warranty was up I developed a foul odor from the air conditioning system. Being a woman, I had no idea what the problem was and hoped it would disappear. Finally, when I took it for an oil change, I asked the mechanic and he told me that it was probably caused by mold, and that Chrysler has a kit to deodorize it. $90 later I still had the odor. I brought it back to the dealer and he deodorized it again. A week later I hear hissing and watched the freon escape into the car. I brought it back again and paid $70 to recharge the freon. I was told to drive around (in the winter) with the a/c on for 150 miles and bring it back. I did so and was told today that it's the evaporator and will cost approximately $800 to fix. The car is 3 1/2 years old, has 23,000 miles and is garaged everyday. It's used once or twice a week and on long drives.
General comments?
The car is really beautiful, comfortable and has outrageously huge trunk room.
But, I'll never buy another Chrysler again.
