1987 Chrysler Conquest TSi review from North America

"This is a rare sports car made from Chrysler and Mitsubishi that can turn heads, and is race-able"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Developing rust around the quarter panels of the car. Nothing major.

The Catalytic Converter went out at 80,000 miles. It cost $500 for that alone.

My grandfather put about $5,000 into it in the 10 years he has had the car.

Including new performance clutch, brakes, battery, jet valve, etc.

83,536 miles I put a hole in the block, and I have no idea how I did it, but I'm looking for an engine for it right now, which is gonna be really hard to find... if anyone has any info where I might be able to find a 2.6 engine please contact me at alnibrk06@yahoo.com.

General comments?

Well my aunt bought this car brand new in 1987, and was a real led foot.

She loved the car, but was moving to Michigan for college, so she sold it to my grandfather in 1994 and he also really liked this really rare car. Ever since he got that car, I always loved it, we used to drive around in it when I was about 10 and I just loved watching the RPM and the turbo gauge kick in.

My grandpa also promised me when I was 10 years old... that when I turn about 16 or 17, he would give me that car. And I never forgot his promise, and neither did my grandpa. In may of this year, I finally got the conquest. It was just so nice. With leather, Turbo, and sports slats, this thing was fully loaded.

I still have it, I just need to find another engine for it. Any information please contact me.

And another thing to note, This Conquest is a very rare car, fast and furious! At first I didn't believe all these other reviews about the conquest smoking a mustang gt, or a Camaro. Well I've had the experience, I was driving, and I came up to a light, and next to me was a 97 Mustang GT, and I sat and looked at him trying to get him to drag, he rolled down his window and said "you have no chance with that 4 banger". Well that really made me want to race him more, so I pushed in the clutch, and started to rev my engine. He looked back at me again, and started revving his 8 cylinder mustang, light hit green, and before you know it, I was in 2nd gear, and he was still at the light with his tires spinning. The conquest can beat a mustang, end of story.
