1986 Chrysler Laser review from North America
"Reliable, economical sporty looking drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel injector @15,000 miles, replaced under warranty.
Steering gear drive box bolts (loose) @10,000 miles.
E.G.R. valve (exhaust gas recirculation) @100,000 miles.
Halls effect sensor (magnetic pickup sensor in the distributor) this occurred twice @ 120,000 miles and 130,000 miles.
General comments?
I have owned this car since buying it new in August
1986, it has started without hesitation from day one.
Very good reliable car, although I wish I had opted for air-conditioning.
No major problems... but the usual
maintenance of tires, battery, exhaust, shocks and front struts, brakes recently replaced the radiator.
(P.S) I called Chrysler Canada a few years back and found out the day it was built on... June 5th 1986...this is it's official birthday ha ha.
