1987 Chrysler LeBaron review from North America
"Good, basic transportation"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Needed one timing belt. Replaced battery, brake pads, front rotors. The rear parking brake cables both wore out, and although cheap to buy, a job to change. The car is easy on gas and always starts. It's a pretty ugly K-car box, but if you don't need to compensate for a weak ego, it's a dependable easy to own car. Oh, the power windows had a lousy design, the plastic drive tracks break in cold weather. I've replaced several of those, two hour repair, 20 dollar part.
General comments?
You won't get noticed driving this car, and if you're like me that's a plus. Insurance and plates are REALLY CHEAP.
