1987 Chrysler LeBaron review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The trunk leaks when it rains.
The car sometimes doesn't start in the cold.
Idles in gear at 500-600 rpm.
General comments?
The Lebaron is a great car. It is my first car. Unfortunately, I now want a manual, but insurance prices are too high for what I want. I am considering a 6cyl 5spd convertable Lebaron.
This is a good student car. It doesn't guzzle gas and only costs me $20-25/week. It is low on insurance (I'm 20 and it's costing me $1700cdn/yr, primary driver).
For a 2.5liter, the engine doesn't have a lot of power. 100hp at most. But it does have good pickup until 80-120km/h. where it sits in 3rd gear. after that its gone. :).
The trunk is huge.
The back seats are good for 2 adults, or 3 kids. and the front seats have more than enough room.
