2000 Chrysler LHS review from North America
"The Best Car EVER Produced!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have had virtually NO trouble with this car. I have owned it for about 20,000 miles of its life and all repairs and improvements have been voluntary.
The only "real" problem have experienced is one front strut went out and replaced. From what I understand this is a normal repair at 90,000 miles.
Also, minor things like door trim have been replaced and trunk struts.
Of course it should be noted I maintain my vehicles meticulously.
General comments?
This car has exceeded EVERY expectation I could ever have had.
The performance rivals any car I have driven BAR NONE. Acceleration is powerful and smooth. Quite as a mouse and makes the most beautiful "Purr" on acceleration.
The ride is pristine, though I have put top end touring tires on it to improve the ride as well as top end struts.
Gas mileage is phenomenal for a large car like this. I get an average of 21.5 MPG. Much closer to 35 or 40 on the highway.
The inside is beautiful though I have added an after-market dash kit that is factory matched to the carbon wood trim already present. The details are op-notch. The gauges are a work of art. The leather interior still is in showroom quality at 90,000 miles.
The body and paint have held up perfectly. Not an imperfection can be found. It has NOT been garaged since I have owned it and it takes the Ohio winters like a trooper. After last winter our newer Ford SUV literally fell apart (Rust, nicks, dings, ect) on the first wash and the LHS looked like new with soap and water.
There are three cars in my household. My Chrysler, a Toyota and a Ford. I have watched the newer Ford (80,000 miles) and Toyota (35,000) fall apart while the LHS has run and performed like new. I would recommend the Chrysler line and especially the LHS to ANYONE! Truly the very best car ever made! I would never own anything except a Chrysler.
My sister also owns an LHS (much older 1994) and it has performed equally well. She can destroy a car in one year (no matinence, no care, no respect) and her LHS still looks and runs great. It is the only car she has not been able to destroy. And that is a compliment of the highest order to any vehicle, trust me.
I have seen LHS's in my area for sale with 200,000 ++++++ miles on them and still running like a Swiss watch. When looking for mine I came across one with 350,000 miles and still running and looking perfect! Tell me another Make that can boast that???
