"Better than many,"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

-Water pump & timing belt replaced shortly after I got it.

-Timing belt tensioner failed 15,000 miles after water pump/belt replacement--crappy aftermarket part?

-Tranny rebuilt at 145,000 miles.

-Rear defogger switch/relay replaced.

-Front struts replaced (original)

-Just replaced O2 sensors (original)

-Tranny is being rebuilt again as I write this review!! (under warranty) Bad rebuild or bad transmission design? Possibly both.

General comments?

Overall, very satisfied with this car. I am the fourth owner of it, but it seems to have been well cared for. Weak points are definitely the transmission and water pump.

As I've noticed in other reviews, my steering also makes strange noises when the outside temperature is below 20 F. Despite other reviews to the contrary, the A/C is the best I've had on any car. I think it was likely worked on before I got the car. The electrical system has a weird intermittent fault-- sometimes when I shut the car off, the dash lights remain on, and I have to turn the ignition back on and cycle the headlight switch to correct this. Infinity stereo failed, replaced with a friend's newer stereo from a newer Chrysler model. These were made by Alpine for Chrysler in this year--Alpine has had a lot of reliability problems. Very nice handling and performing car overall. I've driven a lot of cars, and despite the quirks, if I found myself in a high speed chase, this one would be on my top 5 list of cars I'd rather be driving. (at least ones that I can afford)

I have a1994 Chrysler LHS and truly believe that other than luxury and

comfort the Chrysler LHS is the Worst car EVER manufactured. I have and am still having so many problems with the sedan that it is absolutely ridiculous which is why I will NEVER again in my natural life purchase a Chrysler LHS or any other vehicle made by chrysler. The car computer is a problem, The air conditioning is a problem, the transmission is a problem, the engine (RELIABILITY)

is a problem. This car has been a burden to me since I drove it off of the Chrysler lot BRAND NEW. It is so bad that I refuse to trade it and refuse to give it to anyone else. I just want to send it to the junk yard where it belongs and has always belonged.I'm fed up and tired of the problems. I recently purchased a GM car and am happy and satisfied 100%.I have had the car for over a year and have not encountered 1 porblem yet, yes!.Chrysler is a company that I wouldn't recommend for the life of GOD.Don't make the same mistake that I did.

I just bought a 94 Chrysler Lhs last October of 2003. It has 177,000 miles on it and was owned by the same family since new. I have since then seen the odometer roll over to 200,000 miles in 8 months. I have not encountered any server or troublesome problems other than "reg maintenance" The only major problem that I have had with this car is the tie rods on the passenger side going out. For the age of this car and usage it has endured I am very satisfied with it's dependability and quality. I was raised with fords and this is the first car that has not been a ford. I will very much consider buying another Chrysler when this one dies or if it does!

I bought a new 1997 lhs which I planned to keep for 10years it's a nice car not winter driven and well cared for, but my problem is that the clear coat is all turning white my efforts to get chrysler corp to repaint this so far have been fruitless does anyone else have this problem.
