The body of this car has not held up:
It is beginning the rust on the hood.
The molding around the doors has shrunk, making it noisy inside the car.
The molding around the headlights shrunk.
The "chrome" on the door is bubbling.
The caps on the wheels have rusted and fell off.
The tires will not hold air!
My car is a 2000 with 54000 miles and it has been stored in the garage at all times when it is not being driven and the body is still falling apart. I am very upset by the fact that all of the issues noted above are common problems for the LHS, but the manufacturer has refused to take responsibility for these problems. The tire issue is a safety issue and there should have been a recall for this.
Sounds like some pretty cosmetic problems. Just be glad you haven't had any major engine problems.
Exactly the same issues, exactly. I only have 30,000 miles.
For some reason I still love it.
We've got a 99 LHS, we've had some electrical issues with the car (lots of electronics on this one) A/C condenser went. headlights hazy and rubber around headlights shrunk. Other than that my wife loves this car, it will be hard for her to trade it in.
