1996 Chrysler Neon review from North America
"It's a lemon"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The lapis blue paint has been peeling off in chunks. Chrysler paid 100% last year to paint 1/4 of the car and this year are only willing to split the cost. I have seven spots on my car the size of plates without paint.
The squealing brakes went. It cost $600.00 to get them fixed and the brakes STILL squeal.
The air conditioning broke. I spent $800.00 to fix it.
The gas gauge has been broken since I bought it. It's about a $500.00 job to fix.
General comments?
The car runs very rough when the (new) air conditioning is running. Bad gas mileage.
My car needs to be painted.
