Noticed a bucking and power loss at the dealer and was assured that it was just because it wasn't moved in a while (condensation in the fuel line) the dealer changed the plugs and it ran very smooth for about a month, When you turn on the A/C it's as if the motor doesn't have the torque to power condenser because of the lack of power. A lot of road noise while driving (even at 70km/hr)
Power loss and road noise really bothered me about this car, tie rods both went at 65 000kms, seats are quit comfortable and the drivers seat is very spacious.
I wanted to point out that in all of these small cars (usually with in line 4 cylinder motors less than 2.5L), you can feel significant power loss from the a/c compressor. I just shut the a/c off when I'm getting ready to get on the freeway or when I need more pep at a traffic light or something. Then just turn it back on when you're up to speed. It is annoying when you're driving in the city though. The compressor does rob you of those precious few low-end torques that the small engine produces at idle.
It's not something to fault a Neon for, or any other small car for that matter. It's the same in my Hyundai, and it was the same with my old Honda.
