2008 Chrysler Pacifica review from North America

Engine failed at 48,000 miles. We had purchased the power train warranty when we bought the vehicle and kept up with the routine maintenance. But last week with no warning at all, the engine blew and we were stranded on the side of the road. We were told because the last time we had not had our oil changed at exactly 3,000 miles (we had gone to about 5,000 miles since my husband had surgery), that the warranty would not cover it and it would be $5,000. Sucks since we live paycheck to paycheck, and that extra $100 in our monthly payment was now worthless. But I agree it was our fault and we didn't follow maintenance to the exact T. Still, how could an engine with regular maintenance and only about 1500 miles over from needing an oil change just blow? Completely faulty.

My issue is with Chrysler headquarters (the dealership said it was in their hands). They were so rude and we were refused several times on speaking to a supervisor. We even asked for payment plans, but they refused. When I asked them for advice on what we should do since we could not afford to pay $5000 right now and we had to have a vehicle (no public transportation in the county we live in), we were told whatever we did from this point on was not their problem. We were treated so rudely and with such disrespect, I will never buy another vehicle from them.

The front seats for driver and passenger are very comfortable. I loved that the driver and passenger could each have their own control over their A/C heat.

However our 3 kids were crammed in the back seat with not much room. Of course we have one in a car seat, one in a booster seat and the other sat regularly. But still very little room for them not only to sit, but leg room as well was poor. And they are all small kids!
