"An underrated great car!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

After only one year the black bumpers faded.

The car could be better insulated. My back window fogs easily.

Radiator had to be replaced at 100,000 miles (wear & tear).

A gas station attendant put diesel fuel in the car. I was able to get home (40 miles) and had the gas tank & line serviced. It runs fine now!

Currently the a/c has become weak as it takes so long for the interior of the car to become cool in the summer.

General comments?

This car was a wonderful surprise. It was an impulse purchase as my acura died and I was to be married later that week. The engine is weak and the handling could be better. However it is the perfect height (not too high like an suv, not too low like a civic). It is very comfortable. The seats are great and heat quickly in the cold weather. I surf and snowboard so the folding seats and station wagon style help it hold my gear easily. People said it would never last. My friends drive BMWs and Audis. But I like quirky cars. Now they say "You got a good one". I disagree. This is a great car with great quality.

With the weight distribution and traction control it is EXCELLENT in the snow. I drive around VWs, Hondas, and even Audis that have skidded out or got stuck in the snow.

I feel safe in the car. I do not regret for a minute buying it.

What is weak about a 150 hp 4 cyl car? 4 cyl cars of previous generations only had 85-110 hp with no 16 valve head. I have no trouble passing on the freeways. Maybe it is the 108K miles on yours that is doing it.
