The tie rods have been replaced twice. Once at 2,600 miles and again at 46,000.
The computer went out on the dish board and was replaced 3 times at 52,000.
The front brakes were replaced at 40,000
miles.
The repair shop visits would have been less, if they had repaired it correctly the first time.
75% of all the repairs were covered either by the new car warranty and the extended 7 year 75,000 mile warranty we purchased before the lease buy out at 26,000 miles.
Over the 7 years we have had this car we had loved driving it. WE have had many positive comments from other people who like the way it looks and drives.
My Name is Robb and my girlfriend and I just bought a 1996 Chrysler Sebring JXi Convertible used with 54,000 miles. We've only had it for one week and had not yet finished the paperwork for our trade-in when we were stranded on the side of the road when it suddenly stopped running. This happened two more times in addition to it just being parked and not wanting to start randomly for no reason at all. Lights were never left on accidentally or anything to drain the battery. How many others have had this problem and if you have, why did it happen and or how was it fixed. I'm not sure I want to keep this car. Help!!! and Thank You. acrylicboy@webtv.net.
