1998 Chrysler Sebring Coupe LXI review from North America
"Overall it's a disaster waiting to happen"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I own a 98 Chrysler Sebring and have noticed over the last few months that my transmission is having a slipping feeling, but not sure if this is exactly it. When I'm driving for a while at 60mph or more, I'm fine until I stop and have to proceed. Then when I proceed to drive again, having to get back up to speed, the car's struggling getting to the speed. The rpm's are getting stuck between 2 or 3 while my speedometer is reading only 40mph. I then learned to pull my car over let it sit for a few minutes, and then when I proceed to drive it's fine.
General comments?
I also have issues with the rims easily bending. Now as far as the tires I buy the best tires at Goodyear. Honestly you just have to spend a little for good quality.
The handles are always breaking.
The headlights are fogged up and look horrible.
Sunroof is great, but the vinyl has come off.
I have an issue also with the inside lights not coming on all the time.
Mitsubishi is responsible for the engine of the vehicle, but Chrysler is responsible for the vehicle. Now Chrysler does not have a contract with Mitsubishi anymore. Chrysler manufactures their own engine. Makes you think, huh!
