1998 Chrysler Sebring Coupe LX review from North America
"I am very pleased with this car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Paint on the roof has started to fade quite a bit (it has never been kept in a garage).
Driver side door panel is loose.
General comments?
I bought this car from my brother in law with 179,000 miles on it. He bought it with 30,000 miles on it and never had any troubles with it. I have had it for two years, and have not had any problems with it either.
It is not the fastest or most powerful car, but for a 4 cylinder it does pretty darn good (It actually accelerates pretty fast, I just don't think that top speed wise it is something to marvel over). I've noticed that the shifting in this car is a little more touchy than in other 5 speeds. It takes a little more gas to not kill it. Once you get used to it, you forget all about it. The car handles great.
I get awesome gas mileage and it doesn't use much oil. The only things I dislike is it's not very comfortable for long road trips, and there is only one cup holder which is inconveniently located right behind the shifter. It also doesn't turn very sharply.
