What things have gone wrong with the car?
My only complaint is that the front end has a noise that I can't seem to figure out. It rattles when I go over rolling bumps at a slow speed, but it has done this for the past 2 years and doesn't seem to get better or worse with time. I haven't taken it to a suspension expert to diagnose it because it doesn't seem to change or get worse. It is a very mild noise. Ball joints are tight and so are the tie rod ends and rack and pinion.
General comments?
This car is perfect for a family of five such as mine. During trips we have a good amount of space behind the rear seat for luggage storage and all the other things we need for a week or two.
The seats are cloth and have seen much abuse from my 3 boys and are still looking good. The drivers seat is comfortable and gives a good view in all directions for the operation of the vehicle.
The performance even after 60000 miles is great. The oil consumption is negligible and the transmission doesn't miss a beat.
The body is real clean and the clear coat finish still shines with not much effort. I had a fender bender a year ago and the left two doors had skins put on them and repainted. I can't see the difference between the old and the new finish. I had a great body man work on it.
I have the original tires and brakes and they need to be replaced, but are working real well.
