1996 Chrysler Town and Country LXI review from North America
"Poor mechanical quality, but roomy and comfortable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel pump went out.
Power steering pump went out.
Front end tie rods broke along with serpentine belt.
Fuel rail leaked terribly (but this was covered under recall).
It is now leaking something-I think transmission fluid.
General comments?
It is very comfortable compared to Ford or Chevy. While it hasn't been the most reliable, I think it isn't worse than most other domestic vehicles with the same number of miles.
I have heard numerous times that Chrysler has come a long way since 1996, but it is far from the safest minivan out there, so I wouldn't buy another.
