1996 Chrysler Town and Country LX review from North America
"Wonderful family car experience"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
We have had more brake pads than normal. We had trouble at first with the door locks, but not for the last 5 yrs. We changed the CV joint boots once.
Water pump went out at 125,000 miles.
We've had no other problems.
General comments?
Wonderful family car experience. We bought it new and have now close to 180,000 hard chauffeuring miles. Soccer mom for 4 kids. It has never stalled, sputtered or stopped. No electrical problems like everyone mentions except an occasional wiper going on. No transmission or engine troubles. I have done most of the maintenance - all easy except for the spark plugs. No other car I've had has performed so well and been driven so hard. Maybe we have just been fortunate - but we've loved the car.
