Clutch cable snapped.
Horn not working.
General wear and tear on the interior.
Starting problems.
That's it so far, though it did need some tender loving care when I got it, and has had a complete service.
Initial acceleration is not bad, but the car seriously lacks top speed, and the 4 speed gearbox makes any sort of motorway journey a serious slog, and the pedals are badly placed. The tyres are thin and lack grip, especially in the wet, and rear view is a bit restricted. On the other hand it is nice, if not fun, to drive and parking is easy. Seats are quite comfortable, and fuel economy is excellent. As a city car it has a lot going for it, but don't expect it to set your pulse racing.
I own the Citroen AX 1.0, it by far has to be the worst car I have ever had to drive. I initially bought it for commuting to work it had only covered 56000 and was tidy. The problems started about a week after I bought it, here is the list since I have owned the car which is only around 5 months:
Gearbox noisy "loud whining sound"
CV boot changed twice
Disc's replaced
Pads corroded
Clutch slipping and worn
starter motor bushes worn
bad earths
starting problems "Mainly carburettor"
these are only some of the list, car has many more faults, would not recommend this car, EVER!
