1986 Citroen AX review from UK and Ireland
"A reliable economic tardis"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electronic ignition.
Exhaust.
Tyres.
Dashboard bulbs.
Driver seats wearing.
Unidentified rattles.
General comments?
This car should be called Dr. Who's Tardis. The amount of stuff that can be squeezed into the boot (with the back seat down) has to be seen to be believed, e.g.cut up three piece suit, 4 sheets 8 foot contiboard, tenting
equipment and numerous cases of wine from France.
The car has visited its homeland four times without any bother.
Acceleration is amazing for the size of the engine and it never lets us down starting in the foulest of weather.
But tragically the car is near the end of it's very happy and useful life and like many old ladies has developed some little faults which are more like old friends.
