"Goes well for a 1360 carb and looks good!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I've owned it 8 months now and when I got the car I had to repair the rearwiper, washer, interior bulbs, headlight, tyres, drivers e/window, pads, discs and general wear and tear parts. Then the first night out it was wet and I put it in a hedge!! CRAP it cost me about £350 to fix. New oilpump, bumper, headlight, window, two alloys from the breakers.

PS Anyone had any fuel problems? mine does about 30-35mpg driving it easy.

Does anyone else's handbrake work? cos mines crap.

General comments?

Love the car, yes it's flimsy and shakes loads, but that's all part of the fun! I've lowered it 35mm front + 2 splines on the torsion bar, K&N, rejetted carb, Astra side repeaters, rear headrests.

0-60 still not that good 8.9secs. If anyone knows how to improve it leave a message on this website.

First of all get a full sports system for it, as it'll help the K&N breathe better and a fast road cam will help!

Stick a twin choke weber on it... Or alternatively, mess about with the carb until you find a way to make both chokes open at the same time! It works on an XR2. Doesn't really boost peak horses but floor it in third and itll spin round to 100mph!!!

RE: improving 0-60 time.

Step 1: Strap one Rolls Royce RB111 Jet engine to roof.

Step 2: Fill fuel tank with kerosene.

Step 3: Attach all necessary throttle cables/fuel lines.

Step 4: Light engine and hold on.
