"Excellent Value For money"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Flew through its M.O.T three months after I purchased. it.

On my mechanics advise i had new cam belt fitted at 74,000 miles and the speedo cable at the same time (it snapped the day after I passed my driving test! had previously been badly repaired prior to my ownership)

Both repairs were easily carried out by my mechanic for 210 pounds including all parts, labour, vat etc.. which I thought was excellent.

General comments?

I bought my Ax of ebay for 300 pounds.

This is a great car to learn to drive in. It is very very economical on fuel - my insurance on a provision license third party was about 400 pounds.

I found it really easy to drive (i had had lessons in a corsa) and was amazed when I tried to drive my husbands 2 year old Toyota Corolla it was so difficult compared to the AX! Give me the AX any time.

I love this car it is perfect for my town driving - small, nippy economical and a HUGE boot! My best friend had a H reg AX many years ago and I loved her one too.

£210! You were done, if that's all that it needed. The cam belt should be replaced every 30,000-40,000 and is a job an amateur mechanic could do in an hour or so, and the belt itself is an inexpensive part. Replacing the throttle cable is easy and quick, it should take a decent mechanic about ten minutes!
