1984 Citroen BX review from Netherlands
"One big surprise, the maximum for quality and disrespect"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1999 - Rear brake discs renewed (rusty).
2000 - New start motor.
The covering of the chairs is completely rotten. The bodywork has started to rust. The frame however is still almost free of rust. The motor sounds like a first world war aeroplane.
My wife feels it's embarrassing to show up with a car like this.
General comments?
Bought three years ago for F 1000, (Euro 454). Sixteen years old now, just back from vacation in the south of France with my wife and the two kids, 2 and 4 years old.
Absolutely reliable, nobody wants a BX in the Netherlands nowadays because it's considered to be ugly.
Maximum car quality, and minimum social-status (and money!).
