1989 Citroen BX GTi review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Valve stem oils seals at 95,000 miles;
Clutch cable at 98,000 miles;
Clutch assembly and clutch lever at 100,012 miles!
Alternator at 105,000 miles;
Handbrake cable at 106,000 miles;
Fuel pipes rusted through at 104,000 miles;
Front suspension spheres needed replaced at 100,000 miles;
Front suspension struts are creaking now and probably need replaced (107,000 miles).
General comments?
Very fast, very comfortable, no body rust and still looks fresh. Reliabilty is becoming a problem now and dealer parts are not cheap although the main dealer is very helpful.
