2006 Citroen C4 SX review from UK and Ireland

What things have gone wrong with the car?
Glove box frequently jams shut.
Glove box lid has fallen off several times.
Coin tray keeps on jamming closed and has to be forced open.
Exterior door handles stick open, so the doors won't close.
The drivers door sometimes catches on the wing when it is opened.
The cigarette lighter socket housing often comes loose when items are unplugged from it.
The engine sometimes sounds rough and 'whirry' on tick-over.
The steering wheel controls for the Volume and Cruise Control failed one day, but began working again in the afternoon after the car had been left for 3 hours.
The heated door mirrors have stopped working.
The car was recalled by Citroen in early 2008 to check a potentially faulty ESP unit seal.
General comments?
The car is very comfortable on the motorway.
The 1.6 110bhp Turbo Diesel engine performs very well.
The car returns excellent MPG Figures.
The car is well equipped for the price, with Air Con, electric windows and cruise control.
The car has been quite reliable. It is a company car and has high mileage for a 2 year old car (48k). There have been no major mechanical failures.
However.
The interior build quality is poor. The upper soft-touch section of the dash appears well made, but the rest of the cabin plastics are terribly cheap, particulary the gearbox and stereo surround.
The plastic steering wheel on my SX model feels cheap and is too thin.
The digital centre dash 'pod' for the speedo is of questionable taste, as is the steering hub that doesn't turn.
